New session time for Saturday mornings!

As from Saturday 6th October 2007 the morning session will start at 08.30 instead of nine o'clock. This slot has proved to be very popular and we hope to make use of an extra 'Intermediate' lane for our improving swimmers. Remember to set the alarm that bit earlier and get some extra pool time.

Potential Olympians and Age Group Superstars Gala News

Information on these competitions can be obtained from Paul Higgins on Wednesday night. The galas are well organised and attract swimmers from all over the Province. Age Group Superstars (4 Meets) focuses on the U13's while the 'Potential Olympian' series (3 Meets) is aimed at older swimmers. Please note that the closing date for entries at either level is Friday 28th September 2007 with the first gala taking place in mid-October. (ask re dates & times) Last year we 'dipped our toes' in this competition coming away with three Bronze medals as proof of our ability to compete. Why not give it a go?

Club set to return to Cascades!

The first 'Club Night' of the new season takes place on Wednesday 19th September at 'Cascades'. Sessions will follow the usual pattern ie Juniors 6.30-7.30 and Seniors 6.30-8.30pm. After approximately three weeks swimming at Brownlow all members are looking forward to getting back to what is after all our 'home' pool. Unfortunately, the first PTL gala of the season was cancelled but it is hoped to reschedule the Letterkenny fixture later in the calendar. PASC would like to welcome all new swimmers to the club several of whom have already attended various training sessions. Finally, we look forward to seeing our returning members and hopefully we can build on the encouraging performances of last year.

Bog Snorkelling Triumph!

Congratulations to club members Jonathan Hilliard, Jonathan Wright, Patrick McCann, Alice Patterson, Christine Wright and Lisa Partridge who snorkelled their way to success at the N. I. Bog Snorkelling Championships held at Peatlands Park in July. Jonathan Hilliard was crowned 'Junior' Champion while Alice grabbed the 'Senior Ladies' title closely followed by team mate Lisa. The club also splashed their way to first and second place in the 'Mixed Relay' event. It was wet, it was boggy, it wasn't pretty, but it was great fun!
