Prize Night Portadown Rugby Club Tuesday 12th June 7.00pm

Just a reminder to trophy holders that all silverware is due back in order to give us time to prepare for Prize Night. The local jewellers are always busy at this time of the year so try not to leave it to the last minute! Prize Night is one of the few occasions when all members of the club get the chance to get together and it is important that everyone makes an effort to attend. A photographer from the 'Portadown Times' will be present so girls ( and boys?) don't forget the all important hair brush, gel, etc. We have had a good season and have much to celebrate so do your best to keep Tuesday 12th June free.

Teletots lose out to Ballymena

The Teletot squad suffered a narrow defeat at the hands of Ballymena in their last league gala of the season. There was little or nothing to choose between the two teams and the final result was in doubt right up to the last 'Freestyle' relays when Ballymena edged ahead to win by 12 points after the 40 events! Credit to all who took park with some swimmers having to cover for missing members of the team. The highlight of the trip was a surprise stop at KFC for a 'wee treat' where the team made short work out of 'Popcorn Chicken and Mini- Burgers' The staff are still recovering! Usual thanks to travelling help and support.

Teletot 'Swim-Off' Gala

The Teletot 'Swim-off' for Division 3 will take place in Banbridge pool on Friday when we will swim against Dungannon and Ballymena for promotion to Division 2. No matter what the result on the night all those associated with the club are extremely proud of the junior swimmers, many of whom have produced a string of 'Personal Bests' illustrating the effort and progress they have made since the start of the season. We wish them 'Good luck' and know that they will give 100%. A special thanks and farewell to our 'D' swimmers who will be competing in their last 'Teletot' gala, it doesn't seem so long since they were our youngest group. Thank you all for the commitment, effort and loyalty you have shown to the club, let's do all we can to encourage and support the 'A' 'B' and 'C' groups and put in that extra effort one more time. All those in the squad are reminded to check at the desk on Wednesday night for exact details. Club swimwear should be worn by everyone.

Club Galas at Cascades

Members are looking forward to 'Prize Night' (Tuesday 12th June) following the Club galas held over the last two Wednesday evenings. Both the Senior and Junior events were keenly contested with several only decided on the last couple of strokes. Results will be posted as soon as possible but a big 'well done' to all of those who took part especially the 'wee ones' who took the big step up from the small pool to swim with the rest, they will be our future stars. It must have seemed like a mile to many of them but they showed great spirit and determination. We must also say thank-you to all the mums, dads, family and friends who came to watch and cheer as well as those who helped with the stopwatches, your help is appreciated.

PASC Teletot Gala V Ballymena Saturday 19th May

PASC Teletot squad travel to Ballymena on Saturday for their last league fixture of the season in what is expected to be a closely fought gala. Team members, supporters and all those travelling on the team coach are asked to meet at Cascades at 3.15 sharp. It is important to keep up the effort shown throughout the season and with the 'Swim-Offs' only a couple of weeks away the squad need to be at their best.

Club AGM at Cascades!

Just another reminder that the AGM will take place at 7.30pm on Monday 21st May at Cascades. As well as the usual agenda items swimmers will need to re-register for next season and pay £20 per person towards club fees. PASC relies heavily on the support of its members, if you have any ideas or suggestions then the AGM is your opportunity to 'have your say'. If you are interested in becoming a coach, serving on the committee or in helping out in some other way then please feel free to let us know.
